Summer So Far

Well, it's officially been summer for about a week. And that week has been full of things to talk about!

We spent a few hours of the first day of summer(Tuesday) in the dark. The weather has been a little crazy lately, so we've had several power outages because of the wind. Friday was our free day, and when I woke up Frank said I looked different and wanted to measure me. The results?? I lost an inch and a half around my waist! How did we spend the rest of our morning? Stuffing our faces with this...

Chocolate chip bagel with honey walnut cream cheese? Yes. Ma'am. The rest of the day was spent wandering malls and thrift stores. That evening I got to hang out with friends and have a couple cupcakes drinks.

Saturday morning we had breakfast at The Original Pancake House.

Like I always say: If chocolate is a breakfast option, I'm having chocolate for breakfast. Immediately after we ate, we drove to Cullman to visit my family. We all had lunch at THE BEST Mexican restaurant on the planet. I even got to hang out with Dad for a few hours. Overall, it was a successful 25th birthday.

Since then, I've just been working, hanging out with my little friend Trevor...

...and pursuing a job opportunity. (Fingers crossed)

Don't you feel better after reading about my painfully boring thrilling summer? I thought you might.

Dad Is Great... Give Us The Chocolate Cake.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy! I love you. :)

I just got home from a little visit with my family. It was really nice to escape life as a grown up and let my Mommy take care of me for a few days. Plus, she's so excited about this cruise she already bought me a few things for the trip!

Sisterhood: A Reprise

My younger sister came to visit me this weekend! She arrived yesterday afternoon and headed home about an hour ago. I'm really glad she finally got the guts to drive here by herself.

We decided to spend Friday night at home watching movies...

and playing games.

Today, we took a trip to J.Crew and then made a quick stop at Whole Foods for some tarts. Erica decided she wanted a burger and fries, so we grabbed lunch at Five Guys. Later, we made a thrift store run where and took Erica to Edgewood Creamery.

YUM

This Wednesday, it'll be my turn to visit her. Mom's taking us shopping for cruise outfits!

Oh! I almost forgot the best part... Erica brought me an early birthday present...

Happy Weekend!

It's Go Time

If I lose approximately 1 pound every week from now until the week of my cruise, I'll be exactly where I want to be. Motivational, no? This realization (along with my swim wear purchase) provided the perfect kick in the ass.

And now...

Two videos of women with more body confidence than I could ever dream to have.
